Hi! My name is Jordan Reanne -- I'm a dancer, choreographer, photographer. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Lincoln, Nebraska in 2018. I'm from Nebraska originally but now I’m living in Brooklyn, NY pursuing my passion for art and dance. Through my main mediums of art - photography & dance - I am most inspired by people and human connection. I yearn to discover that genuine connection and spark within people in whatever way that manifests itself.
Within dance & movement, I love partnering and I am a student of Contact Improvisation. I’m interested in the language of the body and the thinking body — allowing the body to think and perceive without clouding it with the mind’s perceptions and thinking processes. I want to learn the ways that other’s bodies think and communicate.
Within my photography practice I am interested in that human connection and expression. My camera is just an extension of my eye, the way I see whatever is in my focus. When I’m photographing, my goal is to capture my subject in the most authentic way possible.
