Disembodied Vessels - A Dance Installation (2017)
Recently I've been very drawn to the merging of art forms, specifically the pairing of dance and paint. Parallel to my yearning to cover myself in paint while dancing, I've also been thinking about the world around me and how I influence the space around myself and how the space influences me.
Thus, creating the basis for 'Disembodied Vessels'. To be more specific, I wanted the paint to play a suffocating, covering role in the dance. Women especially in today's world are so influenced by the media and the media's portrayal of beauty. The paint represents all the voices humans hear telling them to hide their beauty; telling them their beauty isn't valid. (written in 2017)

Home Study (2018)
A couple friends and I went to Colorado this Spring (2017). One day we were exploring the flatirons in Boulder and we decided to make this video to act as a representation of the trip as a whole. It was a very special trip for all of us, for some it was their first time in Colorado. The song is "The Mighty Rio Grande" by This Will Destroy You, a band we saw in Denver on this same trip.
Coffee - A Dance Study (2017)
Dance is often so structured - everything, every move, every breath has a specific time and place to be executed. Recently, I've been quite literally moved by the idea of improvisation and reaction to my environment. In this piece I tried to forget about being "beautiful" -- instead I moved in a way that felt good in my body. I tuned into my own body and listened to what it was saying to me. I listened to the music and how it made me feel and my body reacted accordingly. (written in 2017)
